So I have been a responsible non-college attending adult living in the “real-world” and the only question I ask my self is why did I ever want to grow up. My internship is coming to an end and well I have learned some valuable lessons. The term intern is a politically correct way of saying you will work your ever loving butt of. I did not mind the countless hours or the trivial tasks for they provided me with experience in my field and have also allowed me to see how this industry works. Now that my internships in ending shortly, I am faced with the daunting task of finding a full-time job. I have looked everywhere and everywhere, I have submitted legit over 100 applications and have had not one interview. The intern reality is no matter how great your internship is,it probably is not enough to impress someone. Now I am faced with the question of what do I next and how to obtain my dream job?
It’s been a little over 3 weeks since I finished my undergrad career and I can safely say I am no closer to deciding what I want to or who I am suppose to be. Isn’t there suppose to be some form of clarity that come from this monumental turning point in life?
Now that I am suppose to act like adult and participate in the real world, you would think that there is some kind of cheat sheet that would help. I am finding their is no cheat sheet, they only way to figure life after college you have to just stick your head out there and pray that you don’t lose a limb. It slightly highly stressful with out the safety net of college below you and the fact that my parents can’t just fix it does make it even more comforting. So instead of waiting for life to take me by the hand and guide me a long, I am going to just jump and hope that it will be worth the fall.
